Office of Developmental Programs:

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) is the entity within the Department of Human Services (DHS) responsible for the oversight of intellectual and developmental disability services in Pennsylvania.

The mission of the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) is to support Pennsylvanians with developmental disabilities to achieve greater independence, choice and opportunity in their lives. The office seeks to continuously improve an effective system of accessible services and supports that are flexible, innovative and person-centered.

The local county mental health/intellectual disabilities (MH/ID) programs’ role is to verify eligibility for ID services through ODP.

Montgomery County Down syndrome Interest Group (MCDSIG)

The Montgomery County Down Syndrome Interest Group of Pennsylvania (MCDSIG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to support individuals with Down syndrome and their families from diagnosis to adulthood through education, advocacy, support, outreach, and social opportunities.

From help with a utilities bill, to housing assistance, after-school programs for kids, and more, you can dial 211 or text your zip code to 898-211 to talk with a resource specialist for free. Our specialists will listen to your needs, and give you information on programs in your community that might be able to help.

The Bucks-Mont Collaborative is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to fostering information and resource sharing, dialogue, and collaborative action that produce results-oriented impact on health and human services issues in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.

We partner with our members and community through three core services: collaboration, education, and advocacy, as well as strategic initiatives, such as the multi-year, cross-county Racial Equity Learning Community and Bucks-Mont Trauma Coalition.

Self-Advocacy Resources – NACDD

The National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) is the national membership association for the 56 Governor-appointed State Councils on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD or DD Councils) across the United States and its territories.

The DD Councils receive federal funding to support policy change and programs that promote self-determination, integration, and inclusion for all people in the United States with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
